Founder of Dries Visser Safaris
Dries Visser SR
Dries Visser Safaris was found and established in 1990, after Dries Visser Snr had successfully developed one of the finest hunting areas in South Africa on his big ranch, called Citadel. Dries Sr was born in 1947 and actively guided hundreds of international clients from 1990 to 2005. He is currently still managing his Game Ranch Citadel, while breeding with buffalo, sable and roans.

Dries is the owner of Dries Visser Safaris. He was born in 1976 and grew up on the Dries Visser Safaris hunting reserve called Citadel. He qualified as a professional hunter in 1995. With over 25 years of experience Dries is still an active Professional Hunter and is also doing annually marketing in the USA from January to February. Dries is married to Hillana Visser, and they have three daughters, Dimion, Milandi and Amone Visser.

Hunting has always been a passion for him and as a child it was his dream to be a guide one day. He is one of the blessed few that can say that he lived out a dream and have been in the hunting industry since 1994 and have guided hundreds of clients on almost every species of animals on the African continent. He has been involved at Dries Visser Safaris since 2001 and he says: “it has truly been an honour to work with the Visser’s for the last twenty-one years”.

Ben was born and raised on the same property that Dries Visser Safaris now owns. His roots are firmly grounded on this land. He knows every nook and cranny. Ben completed his PH course in 2005 and have been hunting since. He knows the animals and he know their habits. Hunting is not just a job for him, but it is what he loves and what he lives for

Born in 1980, studied Nature Conservation after school, and got introduced into hunting. Passionate about hunting and working with people, I have been in the hunting industry since 2004. I strive to make your hunting experience as memorable as possible and give you the hunt of a lifetime. I am married to Mari Engelbrecht with 3 children. Carmi, Carlu and Carle.

Frank was born in 1984 and raised on a ranch his whole life. He’s got a big passion for the outdoors and everything it has to offer. He’s been a professional hunter for 6 years now, and 3 years with Dries Visser Safaris. He sees himself as a very dedicated hunter that sets his goals high. And always try his utmost best.

Johan Tromp
The 2023 hunting season celebrates his 11th year hunting with the DVS family. Hunting is more than a trophy on the wall, it’s about spending time with family or friends and meeting new people in camp. That’s one of the biggest reasons he keeps on guiding, meeting new people and helping them achieving their ultimate dream when hunting the African continent. Hunting is one of the best ways of conservation and he is proud to be part of the biggest bow hunting outfit in South Africa.

Simeon Du Toit
Hi. My name is Simeon du Toit, and I am a Professional Hunter. My passion is African wildlife and the continent they call home.
I believe that hunting is a key factor in Conservation through sustainable utilization. I grew up on a wildlife ranch in the African bush where I started hunting and taking care of wildlife from the tender age of seven years. Sharing these experiences with other people is an absolute privilege. By doing this I strive to give my clients the adventure of a lifetime. May we never take for granted an African sunrise for it signals the start of a million new memories.

Over 20 years of excellent hunting experience has given Stian the ability to assess and plan a hunting safari in such a way that you will be able to have the confidence to shoot your rifle or arrow at the right time and on the carefully selected hunting spot for your exquisite trophy animal. From plains game to the big five, Stian has all the experience needed to make your hunt as memorable as possible.

Willem Van Dyk
Willem van Dyk was born in uly of 1995. Being a 3rd generation hunter you can say I was destined to follow in my familie’s footsteps. I have a very big passion for nature and wildlife. As a hobby I collect indigenous plants of South africa. I grew up on a farm in the Limpopo Valley basin. This is where it all started for me. I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them. Especially to hear their dreams and goals and see what part I can play to make it all come true. Africa is a very special continent and I enjoy to show people our part of it. I am very proud and grateful to be part of the DVS team.
