The number of animals and the quality is amazing. Be prepared to take more than what you came for! As a traditional archer I was intimidated the first trip, but they understand what it takes to be successful and do all they can to help you out. Thanks for another great hunt.

Our stay at Dries Visser Safaris was one of our greatest vacations/hunting trips we’ve ever been a part of. Our PH/l & trackers were a joy to spend the week with and were more than eager to make the experience as memorable as possible.
Cobus and Elana went above and beyond to make us comfortable and enjoy our time in camp. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere of camp was so welcoming.
I assumed friends would be made while in South Africa, but my wife and I leftcamp after our stay considering everyone family. South Africa holds a specialplace in our hearts, and we look forward to the next time we get to be in camp!

This is my 4th hunt with Dries Visser Safaris. As usual the staff, PH’s and accommodation was first class and over the top, every detail taken care of. But this 10-day hunt was like no other. Each day seemed better. We took 19 beautiful animals, from Steenbuck to Cape Buffalo. This is a magical place! A bowhunters dream. Hunting at its finest, beautiful, bushveld and great long-life friends.

This was my first time to South Africa, and it most definitely won’t be my last! From the pickup at the airport, we knew we
were in great hands. The lodge and rooms were top-notch, clean and beautiful facilities. The meals were outstanding- everything from breakfast to the great lunches Elana made for the blinds, we were well fed and taken care of during our hunting. Our days ended with the most outstanding dinners at night- they were a 10 out of 10. I felt like family the entire time I was at Dries Visser Safaris. The other PH’s, trackers, as well as the skinners and camp staff were all outstanding, too. Everyone was so very nice and upbeat. I’ve made some lifetime friends here. I’m already planning to come back with my wife, and extended family, to share this amazing experience with them. I’m sad to go and will miss Cobus and Elana, but this isn’t goodbye- it’s until we meet again

This was my 12th African Bow hunt and 2nd with DVS. I only wish I found them earlier in my hunting career. Simply put,
they are the very best. Everyone involved treats you like a king every day. We managed to fill our species list, with a couple extra bonus animals. We hunted bushpig, bushbuck, mt reedbuck, kudu, black impala, zebra and giant roan. Every day a new adventure, new animals and a great experience with my PH. Rhino. He is a real class act and gentlemen and a knowledgeable PH for only being 25 years old. We are booking again for June 2025, and we will be counting down the days starting tomorrow
After doing research on Dries Visser, my wife and I decided to buy a donation hunt at the Western Hunting & Conservation Expo. It’s definitely one of the best things we have ever done. We took our entire family and had the time of our life. Everything from the food, the lodge, blinds, animals and our PH Stian was 5 stars! We will definitely be back!

Well, what can I say to describe a perfect hunting experience? Africa has been a dream of mine since I was a child. Coming here was beyond expectations. The logistics of getting here, the communication throughout the process could not have been better. Knowing I was in store for an epic adventure from the very first day was evident as we drove into camp seeing numerous animals. Overall, the trip exceeds my expectations and left me already creating another dream list. Many people have said once you go to Africa, you will always want to return. I know why, this place and these outfitters are a combination that will always keep you happy and still wanting more. Remi and I will certainly return!
We thoroughly have enjoyed our stay! The accommodations were very nice and comfortable. The rooms were nicely decorated, large and very clean. We loved that the laundry was done daily. The deep tub was also a hit. A great way to unwind at the end of a day. Elana is a great cook, and the meals have been yummy and unique – we liked being able to taste the game we harvested, since we can’t take it home.
Overall, our trip to South-Africa with our family has been wonderful and will be a lifetime memory for us.

I rifle hunted for the first time after the last 5 where I bow hunted. I would say it was extremely challenging but taking a great Buffalo after 5 days of searching a monster Roan after tracking for 3 miles. My PH Frank was excellent! This was my 2nd trip to Dries. This time I was able to bring my mother, daughter and son (Hunter) We had a tremendous time. I never thought it would be possible to top the 1st trip, but this time absolutely did! We started off in the free state and was able to get the springbuck slam and Blesbuck slam in 2 days’ time along with other trophy animals.
We got 2 magnificent buffalo, 2 kudu, Roan, Sables, and many more very magnificent trophies. My mother and daughter were able to visit several excursions including a lion interaction as well as elephants. Truly an experience of a lifetime. Everything was well organized and 5 start from accommodations to meals and everything in between. We are already planning to return. My fondest memory of this entire trip is being able to see my daughter hunt for the very 1st time and taking 2 magnificent trophies – Blesbuck and a 47” Sable. Can’t thank everyone enough for all the hard work and effort put forth.

Elana should receive at least a 4-star Michelin rating for her cooking. Couldn’t have picked a better safari if I tried.
